City-centre scrapes, multi-storey marks and tidy-ups
Few places in the Potteries see as many car park manoeuvres as Hanley. Busy shopping streets, evening visits and constant comings and goings mean cars collect small blemishes: a paint transfer line on a wing, a pushed-in bumper corner, a cracked lens after a reversing bump. Those small blemishes are rarely serious on their own, but they are easy to underestimate and worth having properly looked at before they spread.
If your car has suffered something similar, DB Autos can look at it without fuss. We inspect the panel, tell you plainly what has happened underneath the paint, and set out the repair we would suggest. Hanley is close to our Stoke-on-Trent garage, so an assessment is easy to fit around your day, and nothing is done without approval.
Stop-start city driving brings its own pattern of damage. Low-speed contact is far more common than anything dramatic, so we regularly see bumper corners pushed in, rubbed paint along a rear quarter and lights cracked by a nudge. Paint transfer from another vehicle can look worse than it is, because sometimes it polishes away and sometimes the paint beneath has genuinely been scored. It pays to have it checked, since cracked lenses and loose bumper mounts can be missed by eye. We look closely, explain the difference and recommend the lightest repair that will do the job properly. For a Hanley driver the garage is only 1 mile away.
Every vehicle is inspected individually, then the repair is explained before work begins.

Usually it is sensible to have it looked at. If the paint is broken, moisture can reach the panel beneath. We assess how deep the damage goes and advise whether a light repair or fuller refinish is appropriate. Leaving broken paint open to the weather is rarely wise, and checking early keeps options open.
We check for cracks, splits, torn mounts and how deep the paint damage is. Plenty of bumpers can be repaired and refinished, but where it is not sensible we say so and talk through the alternative. Where replacement genuinely is the better choice, we simply say so and explain our reasoning plainly.
Yes. Because we are a mechanical garage as well as a bodywork workshop, we can look at lighting, alignment signs and suspension components if the impact warrants it, and we explain what we find clearly. You are welcome to ask questions throughout, and we show you what we find.
