Village commuters and a windscreen that has seen it all
Forsbrook is a village where many people drive out to work each day, and the miles add up through every season. The windscreen takes a regular battering from grit and weather, wipers work hard, and tyres wear steadily. When the MOT date approaches, those items deserve a proper check, since they affect safety every single journey.
Forsbrook drivers can book with DB Autos, online or by phone, for an MOT. Class 4 is priced at £40 and Class 7 at £50. Where the test highlights a problem, it will be described clearly, and no additional work proceeds without your consent, so you can plan the rest of your week around it.
Sit in the driver's seat and look through the windscreen. Chips or cracks in your direct line of sight deserve attention, so note them. Run the wipers and washers and watch for smears or dry spots. Check the mirrors for cracks and security. Walk round the lights with the engine off and ignition on. Look at all four tyres and the spare if there is one. If you commute daily, you might consider asking for a service as well. Forsbrook is about 7 miles from our garage.
We test against the required MOT standards and explain the result plainly.

It depends on its size and position, particularly within the driver's view. If you are unsure, mention it when booking and you will hear how it relates to the test, rather than guessing at home.
